People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, right? So, this whole thing about public law – it doesn’t just affect the RBB.

Shouldn’t everyone think they’re better than the others. Or the one that’s being panned out completely right now.

Well, the manager of the Bayerischer Rundfunk has waived a higher salary; the colleague from Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk is also reluctant. But the system still needs to be properly screened. This committee felt, the composition, the strange forms of cooperation: Don’t say that the RBB is the only one here. Logically, that can’t be. But that can be found out.

Patricia Schlesinger’s predecessor-successor Tom Buhrow from WDR, who should definitely contribute to the preparation of reforms, also has his baggage to bear. The refurbishment of the “Filmhaus”, which should now cost 240 million instead of the original 65 million. Or a salary of 413,000 euros plus – the Chancellor does not have that by far.

In general, it looks like this: modesty is an ornament, in the ARD you get on without it. That has to change, urgently. Otherwise it will be difficult with the future of the broadcasting fee. There’s a stone rolling.
