The environmental protection organization Greenpeace demonstrated on Thursday morning against the further use of nuclear energy with the replica of a castor container in front of the federal office of the Greens in Berlin-Mitte. “Nuclear power? Not a day longer,” said a banner held by two demonstrators on the large container.
Greenpeace warned of the dangers of continuing to operate the last three nuclear power plants that remained on the grid and called on the Greens to support the phase-out of nuclear power by the end of 2022.
