On the way back from the Fusion Festival in Lärz (Mecklenburg Lake District), a drunk driver had an accident in Lindow near Neuruppin.

As a police spokesman said on Tuesday, the 41-year-old Berliner came off the road on a straight stretch to the left on Monday night and crashed his vehicle into a tree. An emergency call was made via an automatic emergency call system installed in the car. The driver was injured and taken to a hospital.

His car was totaled. According to the police, the driver was drunk, as a breath alcohol test showed. This value was so high that a blood test was done.
