This comes as Canadian truckers protest COVID mandates in Canada.

A political action committee will join truck convoys in protest of the overreaching mandates and restrictions that COVID-19 regulations have placed on them, taking cues from truckers near America’s northern border.

On Wednesday , the Great American Patriot Project asked volunteers for help to join, support or contribute to a convoy truckers that was slated to travel from Washington D.C. Next month.

The convoys’ routes will begin in Cleveland, Columbus and Ohio, and end in Washington on March 6. The organizers stated that they will be greeted by a congressional welcome panel to discuss possible policy changes.

Erica Knight, a spokeswoman for PAC, stated that she doesn’t believe anyone wants to be told what they should do. “They don’t want to deal avec these mandates and it’s kind of an opportunity to stand up for all Americans against it.”

The PAC sent an email blast to all truckers, stating that they represent “peaceful, peaceful Americans who are dissatisfied by the unscientific and unconstitutional government’s overreach with respect to mandates.”

This convoy is part of ongoing protests by Canadian truckers demanding an end to COVID-19 mandates within their country. Truckers began resisting a rule that required them to be fully immunized.

Their livelihoods and the supply chain could be affected if they are not vaccinated.

Monday’s Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act. This rare act gives the government of Canada temporary powers to manage the border blockades. It also allows the country to use financial and legal measures against truckers.

Knight stated, “I’m certain that having a lot of protesting and standing for their rights is definitely part of this inspiration here.”
