Due to a signal box malfunction in Pankow and a switch malfunction in Gesundbrunnen, passengers on the Berlin S-Bahn must be prepared for restrictions. The reason for the disruption was cable theft, the S-Bahn Berlin informed. Lines S2, S8 and S85 are affected.

Line S2 runs every 20 minutes between Südkreuz and Nordbahnhof and between Blankenburg and Bernau.

Line S8 only runs between Schöneweide and Bornholmer Straße and between Blankenburg and Birkenwerder. Line S85 is completely eliminated.

There is a shuttle service between Bornholmer Straße and Pankow every ten minutes. The S-Bahn commutes between Pankow and Blankenburg every 20 minutes.

The transport company recommends alternatively using the S1 and S25 trains between Nordbahnhof and Bornholmer Straße.
