Today, Mikhail Solomentsev increasingly remembered only as one of the supporters of the anti-alcohol campaign of the 1980-ies. Perhaps it is because this campaign was one of the last initiatives Solomentsev. Mikhail Sergeyevich Solomentsev was born in 1913 in a village in the Orel province. Since childhood Solomentsev wanted to be a sailor, but the health did not allow him to fulfill this dream.
