The 17-year-old Porsche driver, who was stopped by the Brandenburg police last weekend because of extreme speeding, has now been caught in a similar act in Berlin.

As the Berlin police announced on Thursday, a patrol from the Autobahn Police noticed a Porsche at around 12:20 a.m. that was speeding from the Gradestrasse junction in the direction of Dreieck Neukölln.

The officials followed the speeder and measured behind the Britz tunnel “a reproachable value of 165 km/h”. The speed limit is 80.

When checking the driver, it turned out that he had already been stopped last Friday on the A13 from Berlin in the direction of Dresden: A video car from the motorway police had monitored the area between Calau and Bronkow, which is known as the accident center because of the lack of hard shoulders and on Tempo 120 is limited.

According to a picture of the measuring device published on Twitter, the speeder was measured there with a speed of 217 and then the officials directed it to the nearest parking lot. The photo from the measuring vehicle shows a relatively new Porsche 911 costing well over 100,000 euros.

According to the police, the underage perpetrator has a test certificate for “accompanied driving from the age of 17”. In both cases, his mother was in the passenger seat, which is why the case made it into the media far beyond the region.

The Brandenburg police then said: “After the video evidence was shown, the driver was revealed the legal consequences of his driving style. Administrative offense proceedings were initiated which, according to the current catalog of fines, are threatened with a fine of 600 euros, a two-month driving ban and two points in the central traffic register. In addition, the driver must reckon with the order of a traffic law advanced seminar during his probationary period.

The new report from Berlin refers to the violation in Britz as “at least 2 points, a fine of 1,600 euros, a three-month driving ban, participation in a traffic law advanced seminar and a two-year extension of his probationary period”. The last sentence of the police report reads: ” After the check, the 17-year-old was able to continue his journey.”

However, the matter is far from over. From the Berlin public prosecutor’s office it said: “In both cases, a prohibited motor vehicle race must also be checked – if, for example, he has meandered through.” Then the administrative offenses would become criminal offenses with tougher sanctions.

The mother’s “characteristic suitability” as an accompanying person can also be checked – and also the confiscation of the crime vehicle. “If the mother knows that her son tends to drive in this way, she acts carelessly if her son gets behind the wheel again.”
