Several people have been shot at a church in the US state of California. A person was arrested and a weapon was secured, the responsible police wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
The incident happened in the afternoon (local time) in the town of Laguna Woods. Nothing was initially known about possible fatalities. It was unclear whether the crime had taken place in the church or before. Other backgrounds were still open.
The Los Angeles Times newspaper reported a massive police presence. Laguna Woods has around 19,000 residents.
