Two individuals will be questioned by investigators from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in connection with a stabbing attack perpetrated against a 16-year-old teenager late Sunday afternoon.

SPVM officers were called to intervene at the corner of boulevard Perras and boulevard Rodolphe-Forget, in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles, around 4 p.m., following an altercation that occurred in this sector.

When police arrived, a 16-year-old man found at the scene had major injuries to his upper body. He was quickly transported by ambulance to a hospital. We still did not know his state of health, Sunday evening.

Two individuals were then arrested by SPVM officers and will be questioned.

The cause of the altercation is still unknown, but according to the first information available, it took place outside while the injured young man took refuge in “an establishment” nearby.

A perimeter has been established in the area. Investigators specializing in criminal investigations have been tasked with shedding light on this event.
