A 20-year-old collapsed at the Kottbusser Tor in Berlin with stab wounds. The man had to be operated on, but there was no danger to life, a police spokesman said on Monday. The “B.Z.” had previously reported.

According to the “B.Z.” report, the collapse occurred on the stairs to the planned new police station at Kottbusser Tor.

According to the police, the 20-year-old was noticed by other men in the Kottbusser Tor area around 3.15 a.m. on Monday night because he obviously needed help. When they spoke to him, he showed two stab wounds in his upper body.

Paramedics were called and the man was taken to the hospital. The Kripo is investigating because of dangerous bodily harm.

According to the police spokesman, it was initially unclear in what context the 20-year-old sustained the injuries and where this happened.
