The announced nationwide strike by Lufthansa pilots this Friday will probably also affect the airline’s flights from the capital’s BER airport. Lufthansa only flies from Schönefeld to the domestic German destinations of Frankfurt and Munich. The company announced on Thursday that almost all flights from and to these two cities would be cancelled. More detailed information on individual regions was not initially known. Almost all Lufthansa connections at BER were canceled during the first warning strike by the pilots a few weeks ago.

According to its own statements, the airline is taking around 800 flights nationwide on Friday due to the all-day strike. Individual connections would also be canceled on Thursday, it said. The effects of the strike should still be felt at the weekend.
