Im Rahmen des Vorhabens "Rapid Pacific 2022", in das etwa 250 Soldatinnen und Soldaten der Luftwaffe eingebunden sind, sowie vier Transportflugzeuge zur Betankung der Kampfflugzeuge in der Luft, starten vom dem Fliegerhorst sechs Eurofighter nach Singapur, um anschließend nach Australien weiter zu fliegen.
