(Longueuil) Three alleged criminals were arrested this week on the south shore of Montreal because police believe they were involved in drug trafficking.

The Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) specifies that after obtaining judicial authorizations, searches were carried out by police officers in three places and that abundant seizures were made: cocaine, methamphetamine tablets, pharmaceutical tablets and GHB, among others.

In addition, 13 cell phones, a scale, a gun, a grenade and luxury cars were seized. Police say the value of the items seized is over $250,000.

The investigation began last February, thanks to information provided by the public. The searches led to the arrest of William Phillips-Demarbre, 32, Benjamin Lebrun, 39, and Sylvain Larocque, 58.
