A public bus slipped down a slope in Herrenberg, Baden-Württemberg, and the front part of the vehicle crashed into a supermarket facade. As the police said, the bus had previously collided with a mobile home late Friday afternoon.
Three people were injured in the accident, including the 72-year-old bus driver seriously. The property damage was given as 115,000 euros.
The collision with the camper happened when the bus left the bus station. The bus then broke through a fence and fell down a brick wall about eight meters deep until it came to a stop on the outer wall of the food discounter. The rear part of the bus got stuck on the upper edge of the slope.
The bus driver was seriously injured in the accident and the 68-year-old motorhome driver was slightly injured. An employee of the discounter also suffered minor injuries from flying shards. A car parked in the parking lot of the discounter was also damaged. There were obviously no passengers on the bus.
