NECESSARY: After missing the playoffs nine times in eleven years, the Bears made sweeping changes. They struck a major deal on Thursday and agreed to send star pass rusher Khalil Mac to the Los Angeles Chargers. This is the first major roster change since Ryan Poles, general manager, and Matt Eberflus, who were hired to replace Ryan Pace (and Matt Nagy) were fired. After a disappointing rookie season, Justin Fields needs to be surrounded by the right people to help him develop. A big part of that will include solidifying the wide receiver position. Robinson could be in trouble after finishing the season with 410 yards and back-to-back seasons of more than 1,100 yards. Darnell Mooney was the Bears’ wide receiver with 1,055 yards. Robinson and he were the only ones with more than 329 yards. Chicago was ranked 24th in total offense and 30th in passing.
