The Buffalo Bills are set to be featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this summer during their training camp, according to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The show is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max on Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. ET, marking the first time the Bills have been chosen for the series. Goodell also revealed that the NFC East will be the focus of the in-season “Hard Knocks,” showcasing all four teams in the division with a debut set for December.
The Bills’ eligibility for the training camp series comes as a result of new rules introduced this offseason, expanding the pool of teams that can be selected. The previous rule that allowed teams who made the playoffs in the last two years to opt out has been eliminated, including the Bills who have seen postseason action for the past six seasons. Excluded teams for “Hard Knocks: Training Camp” include those with rookie head coaches, those who have appeared in the past eight seasons, and teams involved in the in-season division or next year’s division. Training camp for the Bills will kick off at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York, as they head into the 2025 season as favorites in every game, per ESPN Bet, with star quarterback Josh Allen fresh off an MVP season.
As the Bills gear up for their final year in their current stadium before moving to a new one in 2026, the team has made significant moves in the offseason, signing free agents Joey Bosa and Joshua Palmer to bolster their roster. Head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane are entering their ninth season working together, bringing stability and continuity to the franchise. With the new season on the horizon, fans can look forward to following the team’s journey on “Hard Knocks,” with episodes airing on Tuesdays through Sept. 2, providing an inside look at the preparation and challenges faced by the Bills as they aim for a successful season.
