Serena Williams has been ruled out of Wimbledon following a serious leg injury that she sustained on Tuesday.
She was serving at Centre Court in the fifth game when the 23-time Grand Slam champion lost her footing close to the baseline.
Williams was given a medical break and then tried to play again. The 39-year old American cried and walked to the net, shaking hands with Aliaksandra Ssnovich, her opponent.
