In the first half of 2022, 6,658 cars were towed away from cycle paths, footpaths, bus lanes and intersections in Berlin. This emerges from a response from the Senate to a question from the left.
More than 4700 so-called conversions of wrongly parked cars affected the zone directly at intersections. The illegal parkers were removed from cycle paths, footpaths and bus lanes between 500 and 750 times.
In 2020, 11,576 of these types of illegal parkers were towed away, compared to 15,037 in 2021. (dpa)
