It is the first person to be killed in a tram accident this year. By the end of March, however, there were 34 injuries, including nine seriously injured in accidents with the tram.

Four people died in Berlin tram accidents last year. In 2020, two people lost their lives in such incidents. 133 people were injured in 2021 after 101 people in 2020.

More people were injured in BVG bus transport last year than in 2020. The number of accident victims in bus transport rose from 494 to 543. The majority of them, 490 people, were only slightly injured. Unlike in 2020, no one died.
