Nvidia’s RTX 4060 is like, super popular in April 2025, according to Steam’s Hardware Survey. But guess what? There’s a new kid on the block now – the RTX 5060 has finally arrived, completing the 50-series graphics cards lineup that Nvidia unveiled at CES 2025. The big announcement went down at Computex in Taiwan, where they also dropped the laptop version of the RTX 5060, available for purchase right this second.
Exciting, right? I mean, we’ve all been waiting forever for midrange gaming laptops to get a decent GPU upgrade. The only bummer is that Nvidia seems to want you to throw your money at these new toys without waiting for reviewers to give them the old thumbs up. But hey, who needs reviews when you can just dive right in and hope for the best, am I right?
The RTX 5060: What’s the Deal?
So, it’s been about a month since Nvidia rolled out the RTX 5060 Ti, and now they’re hitting us with the RTX 5060 to round out the low-end of the graphics card spectrum. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding this new card – we don’t even know stuff like clock speed or the actual CUDA core counts. But hey, who needs specs when you can just buy the thing and figure it out later, right?
They’re keeping the price of the RTX 5060 the same as the last-gen RTX 4060, with 8 GB of VRAM to keep things spicy. VRAM is like the secret sauce for gaming performance, so having plenty of it is always a good sign. Nvidia claims they’ll have plenty of these cards in stock, which is a relief considering the supply issues that have plagued the rest of the 50-series lineup. Hopefully, this means you won’t have to sell a kidney to get your hands on one.
The RTX 5060 is all about that DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation, which are supposed to make your gaming experience even more mind-blowing. The AI capabilities are off the charts, thanks to the Tensor Cores packed into this bad boy. And sure, Multi-Frame Generation might not have everyone convinced yet, but hey, at least Nvidia is trying something new, right? Who knows, maybe it’ll be the next big thing in gaming.
New Gaming Laptops Galore
Not content with just dropping a new desktop card, Nvidia has unleashed a wave of gaming laptops featuring the RTX 5060. Razer, in particular, has revamped their Blade 14, a laptop that caters to creatives, gamers, and anyone who wants a MacBook alternative. The new model is thinner, lighter, and packs an upgraded display and audio system to take your gaming experience to the next level.
These new laptops start at a cool $1,099, according to Nvidia. Although, I haven’t seen any hitting that price point just yet. But hey, who needs reviews or accurate pricing when you can just trust the marketing hype, right? So if you’re in the market for a new gaming laptop, maybe give one of these bad boys a shot. Who knows, it might just be the best purchase you ever make. Or not. Who really knows, right?
