Doomed to disappearance, this young organization, tasked to conduct an assessment independently of the French school, was, however, at the beginning of 2018, only four years after its creation, which is appreciated very positively by the evaluation committee and control of the public policies of the national Assembly : the facilitators of this training, politically pluralistic qualify the Cnesco” instance productive, transparent and independent “having” managed to put in place a method of evaluating the school system that is both original, scientific, and participatory “, method, which ” contributes to the diffusion of the evaluation culture within the school system “.

Supported on a network of 250 researchers from France and elsewhere, all disciplines (economics, psychology, political science, sociology, geography, didactics, education sciences, language sciences,…), the Cnesco has indeed happened, since 2014, without taboo, but also non-partisan, reports that have shined a new light on the state of the French school, since the growing problems in the mastery of the fundamentals, mathematics in the primary years, for example, until the problems, often hidden, of social mix at the school, access to school for students with disabilities or lack of employability of young people from some sectors of vocational education.
