A fire is underway on the property of an auto parts dealer in the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul district of Laval. Several vehicles were engulfed in flames.
“Fire of several vehicles near a commercial building on La Fayette Boulevard, in the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul sector,” the Laval Firefighters Association said on Twitter on Tuesday evening.
Several cars, parts and scrap metal are believed to be in the blaze.
A large plume of smoke could be seen in Laval and in the north of Montreal on Tuesday evening.
On its website, SVP Recyclage Auto describes itself as a company that buys cars for parts and scrap.
