Due to construction work, passengers must be prepared for several restrictions on Berlin S-Bahn traffic in the coming weeks. Lines S1, S8, S25 and S26 as well as S2 are affected. From Thursday (June 9) to July 7 there will be no trains on the S1 line between Birkenwerder and Oranienburg, but replacement buses.
As the railway announced, the signal box is to be modernized on the route and an elevator is to be built in Lehnitz. In the nights at the beginning and end of the construction work, the closure is extended to Hohen Neuendorf station. Then the S8 is also affected. From July 7th to August 11th there are no trains in Lehnitz.
