A man was arrested Monday in connection with the murder of young Youcef Khelil, which occurred in nebulous circumstances in Repentigny last weekend, announced the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). Authorities are still looking for a second 20-year-old suspect and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

The police force arrested Raymond Félix Bakodok. The 21-year-old suspect appeared at the Joliette courthouse on Tuesday. He faces several counts, including first degree murder, says the SQ.

“In this event, we are also asking for the help of the population in order to find another individual”, continues the police force. This is Alexandre Durand-Artiles, a 20-year-old Montrealer.

The body of Youcef Khelil was found on the ground Saturday morning in Repentigny on rue De Bernière. The victim was then seriously injured. A murder investigation began after he was found dead.

The still-wanted suspect is 5ft 8in (1.78m) tall, has black hair and brown eyes, according to the description provided by authorities. He was dressed in a black puffy hooded coat, black pants and black Nike sneakers with white soles during the events.

Anyone who sees this individual is asked to contact 911. In addition, any information that could help locate this individual can be communicated, confidentially, to the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264 , said the police.
