(Copenhagen) An 18-year-old Dane attempted to set himself on fire on Friday outside the United States Embassy in Copenhagen, police in the Danish capital said.
Alerted by diplomatic personnel, the emergency services managed to extinguish the flames and the young man remained “conscious”.
Hospitalized, “his life is not in danger,” Copenhagen police said on Twitter.
The authorities refused to comment on the motivations of the young man.
