The Berlin-based company Delivery Hero sold its food services Foodora delivery, delivery hero, and pizza.de. The shops here go for around 930 million euros to the competitors Takeaway.com. The Dutch already operate the Portal Lieferando.de.

In Germany, there are several providers compete. In large cities there are, for example, Foodora. A big rival is Deliveroo. Takeaway in Germany, for its brand Lieferando known and Foodora, now wants to hero, as well as pizza.de delivery.

The Dutch want to double the number of its orders in Germany – and there is still “tremendous growth opportunities”, said Takeaway-CEO Jitse Groen.
