The alarm went off around 10 a.m., according to the fire department. The body has since been handed over to the police for examination. A swimmer is said to have discovered the dead man. It was not yet clear whether the body found was the swimmer who went under. On Saturday evening, a swimmer went under in the Spree there and was reported missing. The fire brigade searched for the man in a large operation, but without success. A total of 40 firefighters, 6 diving teams, 3 lifeboats, police officers and a police helicopter were involved in the operation.
