Greetings from the industrial district! The “Old Texas Town” in Berlin-Haselhorst, built in the 1970s, is wedged between the metro and the new Siemens campus. But the story is older: During the Nazi era, the “Cowboys Club” was founded under supervision in Neukölln, but had to appear in public under the name “Club Deutscher Weidereiter”.
After the end of the war under the US allies, the cowboys had it easier – before their ranch had to give way to the Reuter power plant, which is just around the corner: here is the whole history of the club around Ralf Keber aka Jack Hunter – above you can see a photo of the little dance in the cowboy look.
