In the Berlin water playground “Plansche Plänterwald” everyone will be allowed to go topless in the future. With the reopening at the end of July, the rules were changed accordingly – the RBB reported this on Monday evening. There is said to have been a message from the Left Group in the Treptow-Köpenick district.

The website of the district says about the dress code: “Everyday clothing or commercially available swimwear (e.g. swimming trunks, swimming shorts, bikini, bathing suit, burkini) must be worn in the pool. Staying in the paddling pool is only permitted in standard swimwear. Swimwear must fully cover the primary genitals. This applies to all genders.”

Last year there was a controversy about a woman who was accompanied by her six-year-old son without a top at the water playground. She had been asked by two park rangers to put on a bra – or leave the grounds.

As a result, there was a much-criticized police operation, the woman left the premises with her son. Following the case, there had been numerous reactions, such as a topless bicycle demo in Kreuzberg, organized by the “Hedonistic International”.
