Because it does not receive any Corona bridging aid, the Berlin “Bud Spencer Museum” starts a crowdfunding campaign. According to the call on the Startnext platform, 100,000 euros are needed to avert bankruptcy. The museum only opened in the summer of 2021.

However, the operating company of the house Unter den Linden in Mitte, which is popular with tourists and fans, is also sticking to its demand: the Investment Bank Berlin (IBB) should pay out the bridging aid III Plus, demands Mücke Media GmbH. To reinforce the concern, an online petition has now been started under the motto: “Justice for Bud!”

The IBB had previously granted corona aid. However, after a long review, the investment bank rejected the application for payment of the bridging aid for the winter of 2021.

“During this time, we received loans from friends and partners to keep the museum running,” says Managing Director Matteo Luschi. “Now we hope for the support of our fans in the fight for justice in the allocation of funds.”
