One of the largest and most expensive construction projects in the City West of Berlin is the “Fürst” project – the successor to the Ku’damm-Karrees, named after the Kurfürstendamm. Completion is delayed, but progress is clearly visible.

We were able to visit the construction site for the Tagesspiegel district newsletter for City West. And there is a lot to tell: new appointments, next steps, unusual perspectives. All of this will be the subject of the current newsletter for Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, which we will send you on Friday and which you can now order free of charge at tagesspiegel.de/bezirke.

The old Ku’damm-Karree on Berlin Boulevard was largely demolished. What remained was the multi-storey car park on Uhlandstrasse with new shops on the ground floor and offices above – and the high-rise building that hardly anyone knows. We were now in the 102 meter high tower with 23 floors for the newsletter and lo and behold: the view is quite unusual.

But that’s not all we report on in our newsletter, which we send you every Friday and which has more subscriptions than any other: more than 35,000 households already subscribe to the Tagesspiegel newsletter for the City West. In total, our district newsletters already have more than 265,000 subscriptions and are growing every week. There you will find specific district news, neighborhood debates, dates, links and lots of tips. You are also welcome to try us out!

Incidentally, in our newsletter from Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and of course in all other district people newsletters from the Tagesspiegel, you can point out and congratulate the birthdays of friends, life partners, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, business partners, etc.
