In the case of a Hertha fan who died after an argument, the police are looking for a suspect with an identikit. The picture was created on the basis of a witness statement, the police said on Thursday.

The investigating homicide commission asked for further information via an information portal. It is being investigated for assault resulting in death.

The 55-year-old victim is said to have gotten into an argument with the driver of a car with Rostock license plates at an intersection in front of the Olympic Stadium on May 19 after Hertha’s relegation game against Hamburger SV. When the Hertha fan wanted to go on, the passenger of the car, who is said to have worn a top with the club logo from Hansa Rostock, hit him according to previous knowledge.

The 55-year-old fell, hit his head on the road and suffered serious injuries. On June 21, the man died in hospital.
