There will be over 200 pavilions for you to explore. Each one offers a striking, emotional, and inspiring experience.
The UK Pavilion was designed by Avantgarde, Es Devlin Studio and Veretec. It was inspired by Stephen Hawking’s Breakthrough Message’ and invites visitors to think about how they would communicate with civilisations in outer space.
Santiago Calatrava, a Spanish architect, has designed a pavilion in the shape of a falcon to represent the UAE. The Singapore Pavilion was created to be net-zero.
There is also the Al Wasl Plaza centrepiece, a stunning dome-like lattice that creates the largest 360 projection surface in the world. It immerses visitors into different worlds.
Make a better future
This World Expo’s theme is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Expo 2020 Dubai brings together the brightest minds from around the globe and some of the most innovative new technologies to inspire us all in our quest for a better post-pandemic world.
There are many social development programs to explore. Expo Live will provide funding, support, and exposure for innovators around the globe who are developing solutions that benefit society or the environment.
SafetyNet Technologies, for example, has developed Pisces, which is a light-emitting device designed to attract and repel different species of fish. This reduces bycatch. Citizens Foundation employs female teachers to educate children in Pakistan’s rural and slum areas. Ayzh, an Indian organization, creates $3 Clean Birth Kits in a purse to provide safe conditions for childbirth in poorer communities.
Laboratoria offers bootcamps for South American women to learn web development and user experience design. Land Life Company is a reforestation business that plants trees on a large scale. Land Life planted trees with the goal of rebuilding the environment around Minawao Refugee Camp and taught refugees how to care for them.
Over six months, the World Expo will host more than 60 events daily and inspiring ideas. There will also be 10 Theme Weeks in its Programme for People and Planet.

Expo 2020 Dubai will show you how climate change will impact food production and the technology that will make it more sustainable. You’ll also be able to marvel at the Netherlands pavilion where you will find a vertical farm growing lettuces and mushrooms.
