A drunk cyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Tempelhof last night. According to current knowledge, the 32-year-old cyclist is said to have entered Columbiadamm around 11:30 p.m., according to witnesses, on red from Friesenstraße in order to turn left there. He collided with the Toyota of a 53-year-old who was driving along Columbiadamm in the direction of the airlift square and for whom the traffic light is said to have shown green. The cyclist hit his head on the windshield and sustained injuries. He was found to have a distinct smell of alcohol, which is why blood was drawn from him at the hospital, where rescue workers took him for inpatient treatment. The vehicle was no longer drivable due to the damage to the windshield. The investigations are ongoing.

A car completely burned out in Britz on Sunday night. Because of the suspicion of arson, a fire department is now investigating in Britz. Witnesses called the fire brigade and police around 10:30 p.m. after discovering fire on a parked VW on Gielower Strasse. Three other vehicles were also damaged by the heat. People were not harmed.
