Lufthansa is continuing to cut back the services in its cheapest tariff, “Economy Light”. As of June 21, passengers with these tickets can only change seats on Lufthansa and Swiss European flights for a fee of 25 euros or more, as Lufthansa announced on Monday. As before, families and groups would not be separated when booking together.

This means that Eco-Light customers are no longer able to switch to seats that are still available free of charge from 23 hours before departure. There are only exceptions on flights to Italy if children between the ages of two and twelve or the disabled are accompanied.

In the other booking classes on European flights, long-term reservations are also included in the price. On the other hand, economy passengers have to pay fees for the long-term reservations on long-haul routes. (dpa)
