(Kyiv) Three people were killed in a Russian strike on the town of Kostiantynivka, in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, and a fourth died in another attack in the south of the country, according to a new official balance sheet revised downwards.

“The bodies of three women were pulled out of the wreckage” of a damaged building in Kostiantynivka, about 20 kilometers west of Bakhmout, the epicenter of fighting with the Russian army, said the State Service for Human Rights. Emergencies on Telegram.

Relief services have thus revised downwards their previous toll, reporting three women and two men killed in this attack which hit a building housing a humanitarian reception center in this city during the night of Thursday to Friday.

The emergency service released images showing a partially destroyed building, its debris strewn around and a large crater.

The three victims had previously been evacuated from the localities of Bakhmout, Chassiv Iar and Opytné, which were badly affected by the fighting, the public prosecutor’s office said on Telegram.

A projectile from a Russian S-300 anti-aircraft battery hit the reception center building and another fell next to it, according to the prosecutor’s office.

In addition, on Friday morning, a woman was killed and four other civilians injured by artillery fire in the village of Bilozerka, in the Kherson region (south), added the prosecution.

Houses, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged by the bombardment, he said.
