Teyana Taylor was proud of her husband Iman Shumpert’s Dancing With the Stars win on Monday night’s finale.
Shumpert faced JoJo Siwa and Amanda Kloots in the closing round. He won the show’s coveted Mirrorball Trophy and became the first NBA player to reach the final.
Daniella Karagach, his professional partner, took to the dance floor with the sportsman. They impressed judges with their cha cha, foxtrot fusion dance, and high-octane, freestyle. Both of these earned them a perfect score of 40.
After Shumpert’s impressive moves won the public vote, and he was subsequently crowned victorious, Taylor took to her Twitter account for praise.
Taylor shared photos and clips from Shumpert’s time on the show, including the moment Tyra Banks named him the winner. !

Shumpert replied to Taylor’s post with this comment: “I love you…so much…I will see you soon!” [heart eyes emoji]”
Taylor also replied to Karagach, who wrote: “[crying face], trophy emojis”

A congratulatory message was also posted on the Dancing With the Stars Twitter account. It showed a photo of the winners holding their Mirrorballs, along with a message saying: “Congratulations, these Mirrorball CHAMPS @imanshumpert & @DKaragach!” #DWTS #Finale.”
Interview with People shortly after he was named the champion of the ABC show’s 30th season. Shumpert also dedicated his victory to his mother L’Tanya Shumpert.
He said that his mother and father have been supporting me every week. They couldn’t be here tonight because they were exposed to the COVID virus. “When they called our names, I could only think of what they were doing now, how they felt about it, and being able to see it.
He continued, “I can’t wait for mom to actually get the trophy because it is a show she means a lot.” It makes her smile to see people being more than just an athlete or entertainer.
“More than their respective fields. She is passionate about seeing people progress and grow. This Mirrorball is for her.
Another celebrity who participated in Season 30 of Dancing With the Stars was Spice Girl Melanie C, actor Brian Austin Green and The Bachelor‘s Matt James. Suni Lee, Mike “The Miz”, Mizanin, and Kenya Moore, Real Housewives of Atlanta were also among the competitors.
Shumpert, 31 and Taylor, 30 have been married since October 2016, and they share two daughters.
