The bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a private residence in Sainte-Julienne last weekend, confirms the Sûreté du Québec (QC). These are two “suspicious deaths” and the connection between these two victims is unknown at this time.

The first body, that of a 46-year-old man, was located by police officers from the MRC de Montcalm inside a house on Chemin du Bord de l’Eau last Friday. A neighbor worried about the resident had alerted the authorities at the end of the evening.

Officers found the victim seriously injured inside the home. He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly thereafter.

SQ police discovered the lifeless body of a 48-year-old woman the next day on the private land surrounding the house. “It was while investigating the first death that the officers made this discovery on Saturday,” said officer Caroline Gagnon, spokesperson for the police force.

The woman and the man knew each other, she added. However, the connection between the two victims is unknown.

The perimeter was lifted on Saturday evening and the investigation into these two suspicious deaths is continuing.
