(Quebec) The Legault government appoints a relative of the Minister of the Environment Benoit Charette as CEO of Recyc-Québec. Emmanuelle Géhin was his deputy chief of staff until last year.

She joined the firm for the Environment when the Legault government came to power in 2018. Since last year, she has been CEO of the Transfer Environment and Society (TES) organization.

It is a return for her to Recyc-Québec since she worked there from 2013 to 2018 as director of communications and research officer. She was previously a press attaché under the government of Bernard Landry (2001-2002). She was CEO of the public relations firm Ozone from 2003 to 2013.

As La Presse reported last week, the Legault government has made the decision not to renew Sonia Gagné’s mandate as CEO of Recyc-Québec.

On Wednesday, during its weekly meeting, the Council of Ministers appointed Ms. Géhin.
