(Repentigny) A man seriously injured in nebulous circumstances on Saturday in Repentigny, in Lanaudière, is the subject of an investigation by the Crimes against the person section of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Few details were immediately available to explain why the Service de police de la Ville de Repentigny (SPVR) entrusted him with the investigation.
“Shortly after 4 a.m. this morning, police officers from the City of Repentigny Police Department received a call for a seriously injured person on rue de Bernières. The victim, a man in his twenties, was transported to the hospital centre, ”explained Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the SQ.
It is not yet known under what circumstances the man was injured and whether he is known to police circles, or even his state of health.
The Repentigny police are collaborating in the investigation.
“Anyone with information about this event is asked to contact the Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264,” said Ms. Savoie.
