(New-Richmond) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on a farm in New Richmond in Gaspésie.
Emergency services were called around 10:45 p.m. Saturday following the discovery of an unresponsive man on farmland on Cochrane Road.
“A 29-year-old man was found trapped under a farm tractor in a field, likely as a result of the tractor overturning on a slope. The man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, “said Sergeant Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the SQ.
“A trained collision investigator attended the scene to investigate the scene,” he said.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The SQ investigation is continuing.
