(Montreal) A driver lost his life after being involved in a collision with a heavy truck on Wednesday in Brossard, Montérégie.
The accident occurred on Highway 30 East around 4:50 p.m.
“The driver of a vehicle crashed into the back of a heavy truck traveling in the left lane of Highway 30 East, likely following a traffic slowdown,” Sergeant Stéphane said. Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
“The driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where unfortunately he was pronounced dead,” he said.
The victim is a 65-year-old man.
“Obviously, there was a collision investigation patrolman who went to the scene. There was a closure of Highway 30 for a few hours while the police analyzed the scene, “said the SQ spokesperson.
