A 16-year-old girl suspected of stabbing her father while he slept was arrested Monday morning by Laval police. The victim, a resident of the Sainte-Rose sector in his fifties, is currently in hospital and there is no fear for his life.
The attempted murder occurred shortly after midnight. “The police received a call about a stabbed person,” said Laval police officer Stephanie Beshara.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was allegedly stabbed in his sleep. He was taken to hospital for serious injuries overnight from Sunday to Monday. “There is no danger to his life. He will be seen by the investigators when his state of health allows it”, indicates the agent Beshara.
The 16-year-old suspect is due to appear Monday morning in connection with the attempted murder.
