The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the insolvent fashion company McTrek. You can find out the reason for this here.

The Hessian outdoor clothing retailer McTrek not only has to close all branches, but is now also facing legal challenges, writes “Textil Wirtschaft”.

The Hanau public prosecutor’s office is investigating one of McTrek’s managers on suspicion of delaying insolvency. A spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office confirmed this.

McTrek Retail has been struggling with financial difficulties since the beginning of the year. The company was unable to fully pay wages or rent. In order to maintain business operations, significant stocks of goods would have had to be purchased – but the necessary capital was missing.

The negotiations over mass loans failed because significant assets had been transferred and potential lenders were therefore lacking financial security. This is the second bankruptcy for McTrek since 2020. The closure of the branches now marks a further step that seals the end of the company.
