Roblox, a popular gaming platform, crashed Friday to the horror of millions of children and their parents. The company was still trying restore service on Saturday.

@NikilisRBX tweeted, “Roblox being down is the scariest part Halloween this year.”

Roblox released a statement Saturday saying that they believe they have found an internal cause for the outage and there is no evidence of an outside intrusion. Roblox stated Saturday that they are currently working on the engineering and maintenance work necessary to get Roblox up and running again as quickly as possible.

Roblox stated on Friday that the outage wasn’t related to specific experiences or partnerships. This was apparently to quell rumors that the problem was caused by a free burrito giveaway from a digital Chipotle via Roblox.

Chipotle, for its part, tweeted “Miss you Roblox.”

Roblox allows users to create and share their games with others. After the coronavirus pandemic, which closed schools and left children without school, Roblox became extremely popular.

Backlinko has compiled numbers that Roblox has 43 million users per day, 40 million games and 9.5 millions developers according to their figures. According to Backlinko “Adopt Me!” is the most popular Roblox game. It allows users to create digital pets.
