Afterwards, special police forces stormed an apartment on Wriezener Straße in Gesundbrunnen, where a possible perpetrator is said to live. However, the apartment is said to have been empty.

The head of the police union (GdP), Stephan Weh, commented on Friday. “Unfortunately, it’s no secret that protagonists from organized crime don’t shy away from armed violence, and that disputes are also settled on the open street,” said Weh. “To a certain extent it is part of their habit that criminal clan members solve competitive situations with firearms and accept the death of their counterparts as well as that of bystanders without any scruples.”
