On Tuesday, for the first time, a woman hosted the Berlin Court Festival. After the long abstinence due to Corona, the Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) will welcome around 3800 guests from all areas of social life around the Red City Hall on Tuesday evening.

After three years, this will also be a big reunion, because this festival, as an equivalent to the summer festivals of the state representations, is traditionally a rendezvous for “tout Berlin” or janz Berlin. This is of course also due to the large number of sponsors – there are 97 this year. Between the casino, Gasag, Wasserbetriebe, BER and master chefs, pretty much everything that has a reputation in the capital was represented in the past.

More than companies were usually represented in the past. Of course, this also traditionally applies to the extensive entertainment program. This is one of the reasons why, in view of such a gigantic party, the Senate Chancellery’s budget only earmarks a modest 40,000 euros.

On behalf of the Governing Mayor, the Partners for Berlin Holding Society for Capital Marketing is responsible for organizing the 20th Berlin Court Festival.

Between stands and stages, every guest becomes a flaneur. From political small talk to serious disputes, everything is possible at the last big exchange before the summer break, which experience has shown is coming to an end sooner than it currently feels.

The leitmotif this time is

The Lotto Foundation Berlin, the Association of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists, the Berliner Sparkasse, Pfizer, the Wintergarten, the Friedrichstadtpalast, the Komische Oper, but also promising start-ups such as Mediacc, Timeride, and Vestaxx, and of course the secret hit of all summer festivals: Curry 36.
