The weather in Berlin and Brandenburg remains changeable. According to the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD), Wednesday will start with a mix of sun and clouds and mostly dry. However, towards noon and afternoon it can rain and occasionally there will also be brief thunderstorms.

According to the DWD, the temperatures rise to maximum values between 19 and 22 degrees. The night should therefore remain largely dry with lows between eleven and eight degrees. According to the forecast, a mix of sun and clouds is to be expected on Ascension Day.

With temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees, the holiday is ideal for outdoor excursions. There may also be occasional light showers. According to the DWD, a fresh westerly wind with some gusts of wind will come up during the course of the day. During the night more clouds will gather and it will cool down to between 13 and 9 degrees.

The bridge day starts with rain, especially south of Berlin. The rain will subside towards midday and only isolated showers are to be expected. With highs of between 17 and 20 degrees, it will cool down slightly on Friday. Stormy gusts will blow from the west in the course of the day. According to the forecast, the wind will decrease in the evening.

Significantly more traffic is to be expected in Berlin and the surrounding area around the weekends after Ascension Day and at Pentecost. Many Berliners took the opportunity for a short vacation and excursions, warned the Berlin Traffic Information Center (VIZ).

The city motorways and arterial roads in particular are likely to be significantly fuller on Wednesday afternoon (May 25), when working people are on their way home at the same time. This also applies to the Friday (June 3rd) before Pentecost. The experts at the traffic information center recommend leaving for vacation or excursions later on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning and on Whit Saturday morning.

The VIZ also points out that the 9-euro ticket can also be used for excursions with public transport on the Pentecost weekend. However, it can be assumed that many Berliners will make use of it. It therefore makes sense to find out about the offers of the transport companies in advance.
