The Berlin State Security is investigating a reported attack on a 34-year-old woman from Poland and her 15-year-old son in front of a supermarket in Reinickendorf. As the police announced on Saturday, the woman suffered a bruise on her arm and the youth suffered a bruise on her face.

The 34-year-old reportedly turned to the police on Friday and described the incident as follows: While shopping in a supermarket on Thursday afternoon, she and her son talked in Polish. A man and a woman watched them. After leaving the store, the stranger insulted her, the man ran after her and hit her upper arm with his fist. When her son intervened, the man hit the teenager in the face.
