Gold medal to Catherine Kotnikova brought results 31,105 seconds. Just 0,008 seconds lost to the champion Tatiana Ivanova. Latvian Eliza Kauze took third place. Victoria Demchenko became the fifth and Olesya Mikhaylenko – sixth.
This is the second gold medal won by the Russian Luge at the world championship. Previously won the sprint among the duets won the Alexander Denisov and Vladislav Antonov.
